Our associate members of The West Lancashire Sub Aqua Club are based with us here at the Blackpool Light Craft Club. They are a social bunch with a large inventory of equipment, including two fully equipped Ribs, each refitted with new Mariner 115 hp engines in June 2019, compressors and diving equipment for training.
Already a diver, BSAC, PADI or other agency and looking to join an active club, then we would love to hear from you. No dive experience, but would love to try it, no problem. If you are fit and well the first step is a try dive session, which is led by a qualified and experienced British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) instructor. They will show you the basic scuba diving equipment and how to use it and then it’s into the Palatine pool in Blackpool to show you how to breathe and move about under water.
Try dive sessions are run on a regular basis and cost £15, plus a further £5 for entry into the pool. All the equipment is provided and all you need to bring is a swimming costume and a T-shirt. You will receive a talk about the further training on offer from Ocean Diver grade, to Sports Diver, Dive Leader to Advanced and then First Class Diver. As a BSAC club you will be taught using the BSAC training system and you will be guided and supervised by qualified divers and instructors who will help you in broadening your experience and ability.
Why not ring for a chat or call into the clubhouse on a Tuesday evening after 8:00 to meet with some of our divers or take a look at their website bsac-153.co.uk
